Fue establecido oficialmente por la FAO en 1980 y se celebr\u00f3 por primera vez en 1981, coincidiendo con la fecha de fundaci\u00f3n de la organizaci\u00f3n en 1945.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00bfQu\u00e9 representa este d\u00eda?<\/h3>\n<p>Su prop\u00f3sito principal es concienciar sobre el hambre en el mundo, promover sistemas alimentarios sostenibles y recordar que la alimentaci\u00f3n es un derecho humano fundamental reconocido en la Declaraci\u00f3n Universal de Derechos Humanos.<\/p>\n<p>Cada a\u00f1o, m\u00e1s de 150 pa\u00edses participan en actividades educativas, campa\u00f1as, ferias y acciones comunitarias que buscan movilizar a gobiernos, instituciones y ciudadan\u00eda.<\/p>\n<h3>Origen y evoluci\u00f3n.<\/h3>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li><strong>1945<\/strong>: fundaci\u00f3n de la FAO en Quebec (Canad\u00e1).<\/li>\n<li class=\"ps-2\"><strong>1979<\/strong>: la delegaci\u00f3n de Hungr\u00eda propone instaurar un d\u00eda dedicado a la alimentaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ps-2\"><strong>1981<\/strong>: primera celebraci\u00f3n oficial.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Desde entonces, cada edici\u00f3n adopta un lema anual que orienta la reflexi\u00f3n global. Blog de Rafael Ram\u00edrez.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 sigue siendo necesario?<\/h3>\n<p>Las cifras actuales muestran la magnitud del desaf\u00edo:<\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li>En 2025, 645 millones de personas pasaron hambre en el mundo.<\/li>\n<li>2690 millones no pod\u00edan permitirse una dieta saludable.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ps-2\">Seg\u00fan estimaciones recientes de Naciones Unidas, m\u00e1s de 800 millones sufren hambre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Estas cifras evidencian que, aunque la producci\u00f3n global de alimentos ha aumentado, el acceso sigue siendo profundamente desigual.<\/p>\n<h3>Objetivos principales.<\/h3>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li>Erradicar el hambre y promover el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 2: <em>Hambre Cero<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ps-2\">Impulsar sistemas agroalimentarios sostenibles, especialmente en pa\u00edses en desarrollo.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ps-2\">Fomentar h\u00e1bitos alimentarios saludables y reducir el desperdicio de alimentos.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ps-2\">Promover la solidaridad global y la cooperaci\u00f3n entre pa\u00edses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Por qu\u00e9 importa hoy.<\/h3>\n<p>El D\u00eda Mundial de la Alimentaci\u00f3n no es solo una efem\u00e9ride, sino un recordatorio de que el hambre es una injusticia persistente y evitable.
